Attention! Important Question!
So I was watching futurama a few minutes ago, and it was the episode where Dr. Zoidberg wants to attend his species' mating frenzy. Early in the episode, before the plot kicks in, the crew decides to go to the gym because Fry and Bender are getting really fat. Here's the cool thing: The gym they go to is called.... "NNY" - could this be a reference to Johnny the Homicidal Mainiac? After all, it IS in the gym that Zoidberg becomes a homicidal maniac. I just thought it was kind of neat because you don't see possible JTHM references too often in popular media.

That’s kind a odd coincidence.. but might be possible cause Matt Groenig is a fan of comics and might have thrown that in to reference that but wasn't futur-rama was set in the NY of the future?
Sorry for the extra post but what would nny stand for other thatn the jhonny referance? hmm....
I guess it could be for New New York, but I'd like to think that Groenig reads Johnny.
As tenuous as the connections may be, I have decided to believe with all my heart that it is a Johnny reference.
As a side note, just the other day I was working out in the gym while watching Futurama (that's true.) Creepy.
just being in a gym is creepy enough
